DARIN DINELSKI

Darin was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He is a true Wisconsinite and a huge fan of Wisconsin Badger Volleyball.  He recently relocated to SW Florida as a “snowbird” and will spend club season in Florida and High School season in Wisconsin.  He is an avid player playing year round in both sand and indoors.  Darin is an engineer with degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Darin has coached girls volleyball for over 20 years at all levels from 5th grade to high school.  He has coached for two clubs in Wisconsin as well as at his Wisconsin local intermediate schools (7th and 8th grade) and as the head JV coach and assistant varsity coach at his local high school.   His high school team earned the Division 1 State Championship this season (2021), sweeping every team through the playoffs, not dropping a single set!  Many of the players on that championship team, began their volleyball careers on Darin’s Junior Volleyball League team that he coached from 5th - 8th grade.  In 2018 his 15-1’s club team took 2nd place at the West Coast Nationals in the Open Division.

His midwestern work ethic, along with his desire to create, brings a technical and personal focus to his coaching.  Darin believes that the success his high school team has enjoyed is due to strong team bonds and a true family atmosphere within the program and team.  Darin strives to develop strong bonds between players as well as develop individual skills to create a winning team.  His ultimate goal is to advance the confidence of each player by expanding their skillset and challenge them to “break the shell”.  His main focus is on “High IQ Volleyball”.  Being an engineer, he is a statistics junkie and coaches his players to “beat the odds” by optimizing team productivity and performance through smart play.  He is a big fan of the Gold Medal Squared coaching methodology and uses those methodologies throughout his training of his players.

Darin is also very familiar with the college recruiting process as his youngest daughter recently completed her freshman season playing D1 volleyball as a middle blocker in Connecticut.  He understands what college coaches are looking for and trains to make his players viable college candidates should they be looking to play beyond high school.

Darin believes in continuous education and holds the following certifications:
USA Volleyball Impact Certification, AOC Head Coach Certification,  USA Volleyball CAP 1, USA Volleyball SafeSport Certified,  AAU Double-Goal Coach Coaching I for Winning and Life Lessons, AAU Double-Goal Coach Coaching II for Culture, Practices, and Games, SafeSchools Course, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching.
