Coach, Co – Director and part founding member of CCVA, John Gardener just finished his 2nd season as head coach for the Cape Coral High School girls’ varsity volleyball team. This year they finished with an 18-7 record the best in school history. He is a former club director at Southwest Sunset Volleyball Club and Head coach. John has been involved with volleyball since 1988, his sophomore year in high school. His passion to help kids learn and progress in the sport is unrivaled. John has most recently done volunteer work for the Lee County School Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and various other projects. He is also a husband and father to 4 amazing children, 2 of which share the same love for the sport as he does. 

This season John will coach the 15U Black team along with Coach Mary. Last year he coached the 18’s and 15’s teams. John also serves as board president and along with the amazing leadership team, tries to help make CCVA the best place for our kids to play and learn.  In the near future he sees boys volleyball here at CCVA.
